It doesn't breathe, or play, or talk, or anything really.
Its not alive, and doesn't need care, it's not cruel to keep a rock in its natural habitat, OUTSIDE.

No this is not cruel, rocks understand. Perhaps explain in more detail why this is happening, and perhaps an outing for her would be in order. Perhaps a journey into the wild world of rocks. Perhaps start with a comfortable spot on the porch, near other rocks that are truly "wild". Perhaps if she observes the hardships of the home-disadvantaged rocks, she will appreciate the home you have, and will provide for. It may seem cruel, but perhaps she will blossom to a boulder, on the inside.I apologize if I droned on, but I am a big rock advocate, including pebbles, boulders and mountains.
